Early Childhood Program

Stage Door Dance Arts hosts a progressive, fun, and safe program for boys and girls, alike. The Early Childhood Program, for children ages 2 - 5, offers combo classes that include pre-ballet, pre-tap, creative movement, and lots of fun! 

Ages 2 - 3

Tippy Toes

This program, for you and your young child (ages 2 - 3), combines music, creative movement, balance, and an introduction to ballet and tap.  These elements are introduced in a fun and positive environment. This class is great for children who are ready for small-group activities with or without a parent at their side.


About the Class

  • Tippy Toes classes are 30 minutes in length.

  • Monthly tuition is $65 (with autopay).

  • Students and parents experience the joy of dance while receiving instruction from qualified dance teachers.

  • Please see our Dress Code regarding what your dancer should wear.


Group activities begin with “circle time." The next part of the class may include Creative Movement games, dancing across the floor, and learning lots of fun dance steps. 


No experience necessary!


"Tippy-Toes" students enrolled in the School Year season will perform ONE dance in SDDA's annual recital on June 2, 2024.

Ages 3 - 5

PreSchool Princess Ballet

This program, for students between the ages of 3 and 5, combines elements of ballet, and creative movement, along with Disney Princess songs, and imaginative play.


About the Class

  • PreSchool Princess Ballet classes are 30 minutes in length.

  • Monthly tuition is $65 (with autopay).

  • Students experience the joy of dance while receiving instruction from qualified dance teachers.

  • Please see our Dress Code regarding what your dancer should wear.


Group activities begin with “circle time." The next part of the class may include Creative Movement games, dancing across the floor, and learning lots of fun dance steps. 


No experience necessary!


PreSchool Princess students enrolled in the School Year season will perform ONE dance in SDDA's annual recital on June 2, 2024. 

Ages 3 - 5

PreSchool Ballet / Tap / Acro

This program, for our students ages 3 - 5, combines elements of ballet, tap, basic music, acro, and creative movement. It is designed to foster basic loco motor and listening skills, along with spacial awareness, musicality, rhythm, direction, and balance. Combined with these physical and intellectual concepts are fun, self-esteem, dramatic interpretation, and sharing.


About the Class:

  • Preschool Ballet / Tap / Acro classes are 1 hour in length.

  • Monthly tuition is $73 (with autopay).

  • Students receive instruction from qualified dance teachers, while parents can observe their classes via HDTV in our climate-controlled lobby. In-class parent observation days are scheduled often.

  • Most students come one time per week, but you can enroll them in more than one class, if desired.

  • Our student/teacher ratio is a maximum of 8 students per instructor. If there are more than 8 students enrolled in a class, an assistant teacher will be added.

  • Morning and afternoon/evening classes are available.

  • Please see our Dress Code regarding what your dancer should wear.

No experience necessary!


All PS Rhythm and Moves students enrolled in School Year classes will perform 2 dances in SDDA's annual recital on June 2, 2024.

Ages 3 - 5

PreSchool Acro

This class, for our students ages 3 - 5, teaches gross motor skills, flexibility, balance, strength, and basic acrobatic skills. Combined with these physical and intellectual concepts are fun, self-esteem, and sharing.


About the Class:

  • Preschool Acro classes are 30 minutes in length.

  • Monthly tuition is $65 (with autopay).

  • Students receive instruction from qualified dance teachers, while parents can observe their classes via HDTV in our climate-controlled lobby. In-class parent observation days will be scheduled often.
