Conway Dance Team Prep Clinics
Does your dancer plan to try out for the Conway High School JV or Varsity Dance Team, or any dance team, for that matter? SDDA invites you to improve their confidence and their skills with expert instruction! Come take part in one or both of our try-out clinics.
Haley Ashford (former Varsity Captain and choreographer, and All-State 2012), a current professional dancer, award-winning choreographer, and competition judge, will be providing clinics to make sure your dancer is prepared. She will be assisted by other SDDA staff members, who are also former members of the CHS Varsity Dance Team.

Try-out readiness

Free studio time to practice during the week of tryouts
Clinics are open to all dancers age 12 and up, who are entering 8th-12th grades! Choose one or both clinics. Pre-registration required due to restricted clinic size.

Clinic 1
February 6, 1:00 - 4:00
This clinic focuses on sideline and pom techniques, dance team tricks, and try-out readiness, which includes tips on learning and retaining choreography, performing and practicing full-out, and handling the nerves that can accompany a try-out.
Clinic 2
February 20, 1:00 - 4:00
This clinic focuses on Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Kick-Line technique, along with performance quality and try-out readiness. Mock try-outs will be held, with individual feedback from a panel of experienced judges.
